WALL ART COMPETITION
NARRATIVE
In this wall art competition, we aim to revive the art of sculpture by exploring the theme of "Inception: Birth of Form.”. Participants are invited to delve into the origins and beginnings of form, structure, and creativity. This theme encourages participants to interpret the moment of creation, where raw materials transform into meaningful and evocative sculptures. "Inception" symbolizes the spark of inspiration, the initial idea, and the process of bringing a vision to life in three-dimensional space.
PRIZE
REQUIREMENT
1. Environmental Impact: Artworks must be primarily constructed using recycled or repurposed materials. Participants are encouraged to be inventive and resourceful in sourcing materials, such as reclaimed wood, plastic bottles, metal scraps, fabric remnants, or discarded electronic.
2. Artworks should reflect a commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible consumption. Participants should consider the environmental impact of their materials and production processes, aiming to minimize waste and carbon footprint wherever possible.
3. Size Limitation: Artworks should adhere to a maximum size of one A0. This size limitation ensures that artworks are suitable for wall installations and allows for easy transportation and display.
4. Originality and Creativity: Artworks should demonstrate originality, creativity, and artistic merit. Participants are encouraged to experiment with diverse materials, techniques, and styles to create visually engaging and thought-provoking installations. Artworks should have a clear conceptual framework that aligns with the theme of sustainability and environmental stewardship.
SUBMISSION
1. Each institution only limits to submit one artwork for consideration.
2. Submissions should include the artwork, along with a brief artist statement (maximum 200 words). (repeated)
3. All submissions must be sent physically to the campus on event day.
